Giving Thanks . . . I See Good People . . .

Last Friday night was Homecoming for Horizon High School and two young women that have grown up with the boys asked to be their dates for the dance. For dinner we chose our neighborhood Old Chicago restaurant and enjoyed pizza and laughs and when I asked Jen our server for the check she showed up with 3 plates of molten chocolate cake with ice cream as well as our bill. She explained that one of the guests near our table felt compelled to treat us to desert for our special evening and that she had been asked to keep their identity anonymous.

“Thank you” whoever you are, for honoring my sons and their dates, your gesture of kindness does not go unnoticed and it will be paid forward. The kids had a great time at dinner and at the dance and as the boys are seniors this is most likely their last Homecoming dance and your act of kindness will last in my memory forever, thank you.

I see good people, even those I cannot see . . . How about you?
